The deal, in plain English

Renting a space anywhere else means two things go wrong at once. The rent comes out before you’ve trained a single person, quiet week or not. And finding every single client is entirely your problem. The gym carries none of the risk and you carry all of it.

That’s not how this works.

01

We cover the rent

No floor fee, no weekly overhead, nothing coming out before you’ve earned it.

02

We help fill your diary

You’re not left to find every client yourself. As you grow with the team, we put clients your way.

03

You get paid per client

A set rate for every client you train. Straightforward, and we’ll tell you the exact number on the call.

04

You choose your availability

You set the hours you want to work and we build the diary around them. Backed, not micromanaged.

Three questions. About two minutes.

Who this is for

T Total Training is a hypertrophy and strength gym. No fads, no gimmicks, no six week challenges. Structure, progression and technique, applied consistently. The trainer we want works the same way.

This is you

  • Cert III or Cert IV in Fitness, insurance and registration current
  • You can write a programme and explain why it’s built that way
  • You coach technique properly, even when it slows the session down
  • You’d rather keep twelve clients for two years than churn forty in six months
  • You know the difference between progressive overload and just adding weight
  • You turn up when you said you would

This isn’t you

  • You want to post more than you coach
  • Every client gets the same programme with the name changed
  • You’re looking for a floor job with set hours and someone telling you what to do
  • Six week challenges and detox teas are your business model
  • You’re happy for a client to plateau as long as they keep paying
Mark Thomas, T Total Training

Who you’d be working with

Mark Thomas was a primary school teacher before he was a personal trainer. He made the jump because he cared more about the training than the classroom, and he built T Total Training around the thing he actually knows: hypertrophy, strength, and coaching people through it properly.

He also remembers what starting out costs. The thing that stops most good trainers isn’t ability. It’s the rent going out before the money comes in. So for the trainer joining him, he covers it.

You won’t be managed. You’ll be backed, and left to coach.

A session on the floor

You coach, we watch, everyone finds out if it fits.

Questions you’re probably having

So what’s the catch on the rent?

There isn’t one. The earnings from your first couple of clients go straight towards the rent, and after that the rent obligation sits with us, not you. You never get an invoice for it and you are never behind on it. The exact numbers get discussed openly on the call.

Am I employed or a contractor?

Employed. As we grow we are moving everyone onto employee contracts rather than subcontractor arrangements, so tax and superannuation are handled properly rather than left for you to sort out. You still choose the availability you want to work.

Do I need to bring my own clients?

Bring them if you have them, they’re yours. But you’re not left to find every client on your own either. As you grow with the team we put clients your way, which is the part almost no PT role gives you. If you’re starting from a smaller base, say so in your application. It’s a conversation, not a disqualifier.

I’m newly qualified. Should I bother?

Yes, if you can coach. Mark started later than most and cares more about how you think about programming than how long you’ve been doing it. Question two on the application is where you show that, so take your time on it.

What qualifications do I need?

Cert III or Cert IV in Fitness, with current insurance and registration. Genuine knowledge of hypertrophy and strength programming is a real advantage, because that’s what most clients come here for.

How long until I hear back?

You’ll get an email confirming your application immediately. Mark reads them himself and comes back to everyone, usually within a few days. If you’re a fit, the next step is a call.

Apply

Three questions plus your details. Question two is the one that matters, so give it a proper answer rather than a paragraph you’ve used before. Mark reads every application himself.
